Outline of Academic Disciplines Visualized
Out of curiosity I wanted to have a big picture overview about the stuff you could learn at university. For this a simple approach is to simply take the Outline of academic disciplines from Wikipedia1 and visualize them.
The nesting is the same as from the Wikipedia page. The size of the bubble is the size of internal incoming links to the given page on Wikipedia - I thought that might be an interesting proxy for “popularity”.
